Building a Door Schedule That Orders Itself: Field Template Included

APRIL 16, 2026  ◆  3 MIN READ
IN SHORT

Every wrong door we have ever remade traces back to a schedule column that did not exist. This template closes them all.

Every wrong door we have ever remade traces back to a schedule column that did not exist. This template closes them all.

The non-negotiable columns

Position code, width × height to the millimetre, piece type (door/drawer/panel), hinge side viewed from front, boring pattern, overlay or inset spec, and design + colour + sheen per line. One row per piece, no 'same as above'.

The columns pros add

Flute or grain direction arrows for textured designs, appliance clearances noted at the line, site zone (for phased delivery), and a photo reference column linking each row to an elevation shot. Five extra minutes, zero remakes.

From schedule to order

Send the sheet as-is — we produce from your numbers and flag anything geometrically suspicious (a 300 mm-wide door 1,400 mm tall gets a phone call, not a blind build). Same-week pricing runs from the same file: one document, whole project.

Frequently asked

Do you have a blank schedule template?

Yes — request it via the trade form and we send the spreadsheet our production reads natively.

Millimetres or inches?

Either — state the unit once at the top; mixed-unit sheets are the classic remake generator.
