The freedom of “any RAL colour” can paralyse a client faster than any other decision. Here is the framework we walk trade partners through — and twelve colours that keep coming back happy.
Start with undertone, not colour
Every kitchen already has fixed finishes: floor, stone, metals. Identify whether they lean warm (brass, oak, travertine) or cool (chrome, concrete, white marble), and keep the cabinet undertone on the same side. A warm greige against cool grey stone is the most common regret we see.
Check colours in the room's light
North light cools colours; warm LEDs push them yellow. Approve the sprayed sample in the actual room at morning and evening — never under showroom spots. Lacquer's advantage: we spray the real door in the real colour before the production run.
Twelve picks that work
Calm neutrals: RAL 9001 Cream, RAL 7044 Silk Grey, RAL 1013 Oyster White, RAL 7032 Pebble Grey. Confident mid-tones: RAL 7009 Green Grey, RAL 5008 Grey Blue, RAL 6021 Pale Green, RAL 7006 Beige Grey. Statement darks: RAL 5011 Steel Blue, RAL 6009 Fir Green, RAL 8017 Chocolate, RAL 7016 Anthracite. Every design in our collection can be sprayed in any of them.
Two-tone rules of thumb
Keep the darker colour low (island, base runs) and the lighter colour tall; repeat each colour at least twice in the room; and when in doubt, let the second “colour” be texture instead — same RAL, fluted island.
