Garage and Workshop Cabinets: Where Lacquer Makes Sense (and Doesn't)

IN SHORT

We will talk you out of lacquer in the wrong garage and into it in the right one. The variable is climate, not the room's name.

We will talk you out of lacquer in the wrong garage and into it in the right one. The variable is climate, not the room's name.

The climate line

Conditioned, drywalled garage-workshops take lacquered fronts happily. Unconditioned garages with temperature and humidity swings punish every fine finish — there, powder-coated steel or melamine systems are the honest recommendation.

The hybrid spec

Attached, semi-conditioned spaces: melamine carcasses and doors for the tool wall, lacquered fronts only on the visible run near the house door. Budget lands where eyes and climate do.

The showroom garage

Collector garages — conditioned, polished-floor, display-lit — are effectively luxury interiors and spec like them: matte slabs or fluted runs, deep colours, appliance panels on fridges. That project rides the standard trade program.

Frequently asked

Will lacquer doors warp in a garage?

In conditioned space, no; in swing-climate garages any fine door suffers — choose the space's honest system.

Do you supply melamine for utility runs?

Our program is fronts; we happily coexist with your utility casework and match the visible runs.
