Repairing a Chipped Lacquer Door: From Touch-Up Pen to Invisible

IN SHORT

A dropped pan corner, a vacuum strike — chips happen. Unlike foil doors, lacquer gives you an escalation ladder that ends in invisible.

A dropped pan corner, a vacuum strike — chips happen. Unlike foil doors, lacquer gives you an escalation ladder that ends in invisible.

Tier one: the touch-up kit

For pinhead chips, our colour-matched touch-up pen fills and colours in one pass; a drop, ten minutes, done. Keep the kit from your original order — the colour is your exact batch.

Tier two: fill and level

Deeper chips take a bead of catalysed filler, a razor-flush shave once cured, pen colour, and a dab of matching sheen topcoat. Ten centimetres away it disappears; only raking light finds it.

Tier three: local respray

Edge damage or scratches across a panel get masked and locally sprayed — a service visit or a door returned to the shop for a day. The panel comes back factory, not 'repaired'.

Frequently asked

Do you sell colour-matched touch-up kits?

Yes — every trade order can include pens and small topcoat in the exact batch colour and sheen.

Will a repair be visible?

Tier-one and two repairs vanish at conversation distance; a local respray is genuinely invisible.
